Zoloft no longer cutting it, after many years

Fellow fighters, I'm 37, and I've had anxiety for about 18 years now. It is accompanied by some depression. I've been taking Zoloft 100mg throughout most of this time, however, for the past year or so, it has not been giving me the same level of benefit as before, in addition the sexual side effects worsened in the past year, it's affecting my marriage.

• Has anyone had similar experiences? I will discuss this with my psychiatrist, however I want to also hear about your experiences
• Does switching to a new medication usually help?
• Should I consider going down to 50 mg, at least for the sexual side effects?

I tried Wellbutrin (NDRI) for 6 months in the past and it was a complete nightmare. Then I discovered the Wellbutrin is not even approved for anxiety.

Howdy!

You would need to ask a doctor for a replacment. Over time the body just gets to used to some meds. I take wellbutrin and it does nothing for anxiety lol. I take it for my bipolar depression. Id ask a doctor who is not the one who gave you wellbutrin.

I’ve only been on my meds for 1.5 years long term and have no side effects yet. Other medication gave me dry mouth weight gain and hair loss. I really like this one. But am secretly scared I will get something from it later on and be addicted to it.

But I will continue taking knowing I need it...
