Hello all,

A post after a long time. I am getting much better and I've fixed regular psychotherapy sessions with my psychiatrist to go with the Flouxetine and Hydroxyzine he has prescribed for my depression and anxiety respectively.

However, I feel like my work-related anxiety is getting a bit too out of hand for me to manage. I spoke to my boss and he was understanding and it was a temporary relief last week but I feel like it's becoming a pattern. I just feel like I have too much to do, to many tasks that need to be completed, just too many excel sheets, and too many metrics to follow.

I got married this year, I started running, I do some meditation although not too much because I'm bit skeptical, I have a work that I more or less like. I am happy but I just feel like I need to do hundred things to keep my happiness at the level it is and it is becoming a burden. From religion to medicines to psychotherapy, I feel like I've tried everything but the dark cloud of anxiety keeps coming back to bite me.

This morning, I just couldn't get up. I was too tired. I keep moving back and forth between anxiety and depression and I feel like any progress I make is lost in a flash. I have done everything this year to improve my relations with my family (which is at an all time high), my wife is super loving and caring, my workplace knows about my illness, but I keep getting anxious for nothing and it's becoming a bit too much. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Please help.

sorry to hear you are struggling so much right now. I hope you find some help in being part of the community and know that you are not alone.

Its hard to see a way out of the malaise when it drops on us. I know my own anxiety triggers at silly things and those around me are sympathetic but don't really understand how it feels to have a mental health issues.

Just take your time and give yourself a break is all i can say. I hope you find some peace ...

Thanks @historygirl21
I am a bit better now and I am at work. But I feel the workload I've piled up due to a mix of procrastination and lost productivity due to my illness is big enough to give me endless anxiety. Thankfully I have a meeting with my boss at 2.30 pm (in an hour from now) and I hope to discuss it with him directly.

Update: It got totally out of hand that I had to take my day off. I am seeing a GP this afternoon hoping that she will put me on sick leave.
