Where? External voices hearing

To those you that hear external voices or noises where do u hear them?

Do u hear them in a certain direction or place of a room say? Or are they just all around?
Because i was asked this by the crisis team and for me i hear it with my ears and it feels like its just all around and no particular direction. Only sometimes have i heard laughing from a certain place or direction . I know im hearing them with my ears though and different from the voices ive had in my head.

It has always been from a certain direction. Over there, down there etc I have only heard voices with bipolar depression so it is different from your illness.
