My depression is now so bad that every thought or memory brings me pain. It doesn't matter what I think about, watch or hear, everything is painful. I wake at 1.00 and the horrible memories come crowding into my head as I remember where I am. I don't dare have a daytime nap because waking up is so horrible. Between waking and getting up I listen to podcasts on BBC Sounds but even they depress me.
How much of this can a human mind take before something drastic happens?
