If I didn't have my twin demons of social anxiety and accompanying depression, I'd hold down a job and save money to fulfill my dreams, thirty years ago. Successful musician on the world stage. Oh, well.

Without social anxiety I would thrive for the best of me. I have so much to offer but will jot try to go out and be around people.

Thank you @Lunus. Yes, I've actually quite recently begun to play again [in my room], rekindling that spark. And good on you for conquering those inner demons, too. Inspiration! For me, at least one can still dream and keep trying. I'm 50 now.

:)

I was 59 when I was better. It’s never too late. 😁

I have really tried to imagine what life would be like without social anxiety but the only thing that I would do would be to interact more with my coworkers and seek out friends in real life. This is who I am and I have come to accept and like myself. So many years I hated my flaws and tried to change who I am, not anymore! This is who I am and I have accomplished so much despite my handicaps, normal people brag about what they have accomplished but they don't have one percent of my anxiety and depression so fuck them! Remove my handicaps and I would crush them in a heartbeat!

Probably I would pursue my dream of having a small internet following, even though I feel like I no longer have social anxiety I still feel afraid whenever I post something on social media.

The best way to conquer fear is to face it. Why don’t you post on here for a while until you feel more confident? Everyone is friendly. 😀

I would work at a job that's more challenging. Have a social life. Look forward to the next day.

I would hold down a steady decent job, instead of feeling like an outsider & that all the co workers decide they dont like me. And save up, so i can take my babies on holiday. Or continue studying..maybe Uni..If i ever figure out what i want to do with my life..?
And maybe make some real friends, who don't just get in contact with me for their own benefit.
