The titles say it all.
For me, I would drive in the public areas without consciously worrying about what people are thinking.
What about you?

There were different stages really. First, just facing the fear and getting out there (I did something most days for ably three months). Then I went a couple of years where it was uncomfortable but I still socialised. In all, probably 4 years to completely forget about it. (Although I don’t think I’ll ever overcome the fear of working in an office again..I still hate small rooms to this day lol.

Sorry, forgot to say WELL DONE 👋👋👋 It takes a lot of bravery to conquer but as you know, it’s only by facing the fear that you realise there is nothing to fear.

Probably try to find a girlfriend. I've always wondered what it would be like and it's even a common occurrence in dreams. I suppose having no social anxiety is a dream in and of itself though.

I suggest you try Gillian Butlers book Overcoming Social Anxiety and Shyness, it will change the meaning of social interactions for you so they no longer are seen as threatening.

Oh if only! I’m trying to pluck up courage to go do some food shopping. I’ve been trying to get out of the house since 9am and am still sat here. I’d love just to be able to get up and go out for a walk without worrying about everything that could happen.

Oh my gosh... What would I do... I'd talk to people- strangers on the street, and tell them how I love their clothing, or how they've done their hair. I'll have a conversation with the cashier about the awful weather. I'd get a job and chat all day about absolutely anything, and listen to other people's lives and experiences, and I'll confidently go up to people at parties and introduce myself. Gosh, wouldn't that be beautiful. I'm an introverted extrovert hahaha. Social anxiety sucks :(

Why not start by posting everything you write and see if what you fear actually happens. 🤗

it does, I quite regularly upset people on here already. a woman on here once described me as angry and aggressive which I am so I don't think posting everything is really the best thing. lol probably end up with a permeant ban by the end of the week, I don't really want to risk that happening. lol

I practically came out of the womb singing and dancing. Everyone had to teach me to shut up and go away. Social anxiety developed before I reached junior high from suppressing my real self. It was definitely a learned thing. If I had never become this way?

I might have been a music teacher or even been on the stage.
