I'm going to be talking to my therapist/doctor about medication. My biggest problem right now(on top of all the stress in my life) is when I see someone sleeping, even if it's just a picture of someone sleeping.Logically I know they're just asleep but my brain thinks/assumes they're dead.I instantly start panicking and freaking out and I just cannot calm myself down.

It's been happening more often and is getting worse.I don't want to keep doing this and feeling this way.i just can't do this anymore.

I'm really not sure what kind of med I would even need for this.

Just to add,my current medication is medical marijuana but it's not even putting a dent in relieving the panic and anxiety. As a matter of fact, although it does help in other situations,it doesn't in this case and actually makes things worse.

Unfortunately everyone reacts differently to each medication so it can be very much trial and error till you find a satisfactory one. It also depends on how your panic and anxiety affects you. The best thing is to discuss it with your therapist to find the best for of treatment or therapy for yourself

yow cannibis can induce high anxiety ....the thing about recreational drugs is that they can activate what is latent . ie psychosis, anxiety....if you are sensitive to side effects .....

I know everyone reacts differently. I probably didn't word my post correctly, I'm more wondering which type of medication has helped others rather than specific ones.Like I'm not sure if a fast acting benzo would be helpful or maybe an antidepressant or something else.

But yeah, talking to my therapist is the best route to take.

It's not a recreational drug,it's legal/legit medicine. I do know certain strains can cause me heightened anxiety and those are the ones I avoid.

It's not the medicine I'm struggling with or that's causing problems, its trying to deal with the trigger I talked about in my original post, thinking that someone asleep is actually dead. Its a trigger related to one of my past traumas.

No medication the thing that helped me was going to a psychiatric ward i made more progress in 31 days than in 5 years on meds but that is my subjective experience

What type of medical marijuana have you tried? Just curious because I really would love to try it out

I've tried most strains but kush seems to be the most helpful. Its a body buzz and not a head buzz.It just slows me down, relaxes me and I'm not all anxious and jumpy. The only time it doesn't help is with this specific trigger I'm talking about.I think I need to add something with it or try a pharmaceutical

I'm not sure where you live but if it's legal where you are it's best to talk to the doctor or dispensary about which strain would help most.

Some help with sleep, some with anxiety, etc.

And it's nothing like the street weed,it's so potent a very small amount goes a long way.

In the UK it's starting to become legal to get medicinal cannabis cbd with like 0.02 % thc

I didn't know about this until @burt tomato posted about it

I've thought about trying the cbd oil but IDK,I guess I just like regular 'ole weed.Ive read it doesn't give you a buzz at all, that might be good, its not always convenient or smart to be stoned. If it gives the benefits without the buzz that would be great.

I don't like a head buzz,my brain is scrambled enough already the way it is.A body buzz is just so completely relaxing. It feels like my body is slightly tingling/vibrating,like sitting in one of those massaging chairs.
