I'm on:

Seroquel xr
Trileptal

I'm waning myself off of Seroquel because I'm not sleeping and it's not helping me.

I was prescribed Gabapentin. My prescription from my doctor is generic because my health coverage will usually only pay for generics. Hopefully the generic version of Neurontin works just as well as the brand name.

Just got off the phone with my doctor. He is increasing Abilify to 5mg and putting me on Ativan/lorazepam twice per day but I don't know if that replaces the hydroxyzine.

He said I can take both without a problem.

currently just doxepin for sleep but never take it. I had been on risperidone, lamictal, and lexapro. Lexapro didn't really change anything, lamictal worked well. I didn't have any buzz or feel like a zombie like with the risperdal.

Was wondering what meds people take. Trying to find a good combo that makes me feel decent
I am on....wait for it...

Aripiprazole (Abilify) 5mg at night (Anti-psychotic / Mood Stabilizer)
Sertraline (Zoloft) 50mg at night (Antidepressant, SSRI)
Trazodone 200mg at night (Antidepressant, SARI for anxiety)
Valproic Acid (Epilim) 500mg twice a day (Anti-epileptic as mood stabilizer)
Zoplicone (Immovane) 7.5mg at night (Hypnotic / Sleeping Pill))
Wellbutrin XL 300mg in the morning Antidepressant, SSRI)
Concerta (Ritalin slow release) 54mg in the morning (To increase cognitive function while on all theses meds)
Clobazam (Urbanol) 10mg three times a day (Anxiolytic for social phobia)
Propranolol 10mg three times (Beta-blocker for tremor of hands caused by Abilify and Zoloft)

It is sad, however that I am still not well on these meds even though the severity of the highs and lows have been brought down significantly.

I am starting with virtual occupational therapy tomorrow to get me back to a level of function that would allow me to return to work. (it took me, for instance, 45 minutes to write this short message).

Numerous side effects, but my psychiatrist first wants to get me back to some semblance of a functioning adult. The most embarrassing side effects
Anorexia (lost > some weight and I did not have any spare weight to loose. I am only 1.77 m tall
VERY frequent urge to urinate.
Restless legs and other forms of diskinesia.
My psyche says I have a “nervous giggle” which is a mild form of Tourette’s.

All of these are why I am living as a recluse at the moment.

It sounds rather terrible now that I have written it down, but I feel the better for doing so.

Can anyone tell me if I am repeating the same posts or posting in the wrong way. Don’t spare my feelings. My short to medium term memory is a bit defective at the moment, but improving.

[very red in the face]

Sertraline, Promethazine, Risperidone.
You may have to try various medications before you get a match for you. 🙂
