I didn't used to have a problem until I was prescribed psych meds. Since then I have had a problem with compulsive overeating.

Can anyone offer any advice on what would help?

exercise is a natural appetite suppressant.

Also, drink lots of water.

If you eat the Food Pyramid youre pretty much eating all day anyway, but its healthy stuff like salad and veg.

Thanks for your reply BorderlineDownunder. I find exercising challenging because I have ptsd so I don't want to go out to exercise much, but I will give it some thought - maybe I could get a secondhand treadmill or something.

theres a bunch of workouts on YouTube, Jillian Michaels has some stuff on there that will make you sweat, so does Denise Austin.

some also share "what I eat in a day" if youre struggling with ways to eat enough fruit and veg.

i struggle with my eating too, i have a bizarre sort of a disorder, i discussed it with my psych and shes advised me to take more magnesium. I only ever crave/overeat chocolate, and its apparently a sign of magnesium deficiency.

so i would suggest also adding a good multivitamin.
