I ran on the treadmill yesterday! A total of a 45+ minute run/walk and completed a distance of four miles.

HI Folks/Hi All,

Now that my floating between a couple of organisations, plus a brand new organisation as well, is picking up, I shall be increasing my amount of fitness workouts..

These will mainly be traditional and contemporary dancier aerobics, and toning workouts, combined, well, I never do like feeling sluggish at desks/tables in time for any ad hoc volunteering work.

Have a good week all,

oh and I couldn't workout today, I was pretty much asleep!

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Still walking, and doing plenty of it. I walk virtually every day, and often more than once. I tend to walk fairly quickly, and most of my walks are about 30 minutes plus on each occasion :)

I used to walk all over the place, fast, and if no-one was about I did funny walks, like John Cleese. A former cage-fighter laughed when I told him about the funny walks, said he did exactly that when he was doing keep-fit groups.
Then something happened. About 5 years I was bitten by something, and kept getting rashes. I just lay as still I could in bed for as long as I could, on the biggest Rispirodone doses I could bear, trying not to scratch.
Then, when I got over that, my knee went by me trying to stand from the floor unaided, like I always could before, and then I sprained the ankle on the left leg. And I now have some sort of neurasthenia in my feet.
Oh, and tennis elbow, from overdoing my dumbells last year.
But, my knees are getting better, and I have done something simple. I put my computer on a very low table, and a futon on the floor in front of it, and I sit and move around and basically PLAY on that. I have my dumbells, I have my guitar, I have pens and paper, and I have my computer, and I act like a little child on my futon, leaning back, crossing my legs in the air, doing bicycles,.playing.
I always said, if I ever get chairs, and if I ever walk slowly, I'm done for.
It's only been a couple of weeks, but at least when I hurt, i can blame it on playing.
It helps.

I ran/walked 45 minutes on a treadmill on Monday and went for a 14 mile bike ride yesterday. Feels good to be moving! I'm hoping in the future my exercise will increase but right now I also take it day by day. I have the days that I have fixed exercise time (like Mondays is dedicated for a run) and the other days where I'd be happy if I did exercise but don't push myself. Seems to work well right now.
