When I start work, I am planning to walk a portion of it. that is the plan. If that will happen when it is cold, raining or I just can't be bothered is anothe question.

Will see what happens I guess. I want to get stronger and in better shape so I can do my day hikes on weekend.

exercise

I walk. But I perceive people as stalking me, so i sometimes build up paranoia and withdraw for a bit.

I live in the country so it's pretty quiet.

I'm super glad I don't live in a really built up area with much more people to deal with and interpret.

It did not pan out as I intended. I just get the bus, because I just want to get my destination fast. I have been getting in more steps than before - about 4000 a day.

I wouldn't say I'm seriously into body building, I have some small weights I enjoy using to keep my upper body oiled. I find most day to day stuff I do is good exercise for me.

It's been cold and rainy lately so we have not gone on many walks. Also my wife's father and grandmother have been in the hospital, so my wife has been spending time there instead of going for walks. Neither of us like to walk alone.

R_Sxo, I hope you are feeling better soon.

This is about the time of year, when most of the leaves have fallen, that I usually like to go for a walk in the woods behind the house I grew up in. I like to go visit the biggest oak tree I've ever seen. It is amazingly enormous and has a monstrously huge canopy that spreads out so far. Part of the amazement of it is that it obviously grew up in an open field many years ago. You can tell this by how spread out the canopy is. But now it is in the middle of a forest, surrounded by tall, thin, trees that grew up tight together because they are in a forest. There used to be a path through the woods past this tree when I was a boy, but since then people have stopped traveling this path and it has vanished. That's why I like to go there after the leaves have fallen, so I can more easily see through the woods to find this tree.

Hi Folks,

So far apart fr om Sunday, I haven't been able to workout for one reason or another.

I did my chair fitness session though on Monday night.

I'm not chair working out this evening, owing to fireworks, they make me jumpy, I have a specially designed dvd part, which features a chair workout.

I am hoping that on Friday, I can resume my normal working out (usual standing low impact aerobics and toning combined workout, or that I might do my fun, hard contemporary dance workout dvd actually.

Best Regards all.

I used to be very fit.
I was hill walker
I enjoyed kayaking
Rock climbing
Any outdoor activity I loved.

Then along came schizophrenia and I just stopped, Got fat and lazy.

Turning things around now. I went up to 17.5st/ 105kg but now down to a healthy 12.5 st.

Getting out on my mountain bike and doing lots of walking around forests and small fells

I always feel supercharged when I come back home after a ride.

Well that's something - and better than nothing.

I'm not a fan of "Fireworks Night" either. : (

I hope so too. And even if it takes a little time, I'm sure you can go back to your routine.

HTH.

Hi Jonathan,

That's very much something I'll agree, that is something better than nothing.

Hi Folks,

My mother hasn't been very well, since Tuesday with a bad cold brewing up, so I can't for the moment normally work out. I've only managed to get one chair fitness session in, hopefully, I'll do a few more in the meantime, before volunteering Wednesday.

However, mum depending how mum cold wise feels, they might be out tomorrow shopping in the afternoon, and if that's the case, I'll get a normal workout a fun hard contemporary dance workout dvd done.
Cooling then down, with low impact salsacise, and cooldown and stretching.

That's if i can do that tomorrow afternoon, other wise just might be, earlier morning.

Have a good afternoon, all.

Hi Folks,

I have commenced as of this morning, to normally workout.

I basically did a low impact aerobics warm up and stretch, followed by a fun, hard dance workout segment.
And then cool down stretching.

i'll do this for about a week.

I am planning to trial zumba fitness, it's a mix of low and high intensity, so I'll be aiming weather permitting for a session, next Wednesday, and also roadworks permitting, due to a burst watermain,in my home area. It's chaotic at the moment. Certainly evening time wise.

Best Regards All,

Natalie.
