It is difficult to explain. There is one incident that I have been thinking about.

It was a few years ago now when my mental health was more severe.

I was just walking in a local park, smoking probably. I was near a group of boys - I say boys but they were probably in their 20s.

Well suddenly I got an urge to laugh - it was strange but powerful. a second later all the boys started laughing at something. The sensation was still there. It was like that emotion was in the air, and I absorbed it due to my proximity. It is not as bizarre as it sounds, places have emotions too. If you go to a temple, it is often very calming when empty. You can sense the calmness of a house when you enter it.

I call it paranormal, but it is only that because it is not accepted by mainstream science. Perhaps in the future, this type of 'local emotional atmosphere' will be better understood.

Has anyone else had such a strange experience? :scratcheshead:

I wouldn’t say it’s paranormal but whenever I’m near mountains or the ocean I want to cry and I become very emotional. It’s not a sadness that makes me want to cry I just can’t explain it

I have heard that places like Ausvitch (sorry for spelling, not sure if i spelled it right) had a very strong atmosphere due to what happened there, the Anne Frank House apparently has a strong atmosphere as well so some places just do have strong atmospheres due to past events

Also I think in the psychotic state it makes us more susceptible to this phenomenon.

In my early teens I was in an old house that had been converted to a school. I was in a different part of the school for the first time when I saw a shadow of a person. From the light in the room there was no logical way there could be a shadow there. I didn't tell anyone of my "vision" at first, but others also told me of a cool sensation and odd shadows in that part of the school.

I later found out that the house had been burnt down over a hundred years previously and a maid servant was killed in the fire, in that part of the building.

IMO some people are more sensitive to feelings of places, and places hold some kind of "memory" of things that have happened there. I don't know whether this sensitivity has any links to mental health or not.

I have often had a song playing in my mind, and seconds later someone else starts whistling/singing it...

I used to think the number eight was a sign or something. And then I started seeing it everywhere. I don't know if it's considered paranormal.
