Well i have done it, i have got myself a job volunteering in the local mind shop a couple of days a week and am really enjoying it. My pdoc hads said it is a good idea as it will help me to meet new people and help me to get back in to paid work when i'm ready, he has told me not to rush into this just yet as there are still issues that nead to be addressed such as my anxiety and paranoia (i am being refered to a specialist because this is getting worse). But at least the volunteering will help divert and keep my mind busy :)

Well done Colin.

I used to really enjoy volunteering at a local charity. I felt like I was giving something back to the community.

I must get back into it.

I am going for a second interview with MIND tomorrow; for volunteer befriending. I have been waiting for a CRB check. I'm not sure if I will be accepted or not.

As a precaution i will be giving the name and number of my social / key worker incase anything happens (i become abusive to customers or worse). I only hope the customers can take my sense of humor.
