I wrote this list for myself and I will be looking at it every day to decide which one I would rather be...

Victim: afraid of being alone and abandoned
Warrior: able to stand alone, enjoys own company

Victim: feeling at the mercy of others
Warrior: focusing on what is within our control

Victim: people-pleasing behaviour
Warrior: living based on core values

Victim:blaming others for causing emotions
Warrior: owning difficult emotions and reactions

Victim: self medication and distraction
Warrior: problem solving or letting go

Victim: alienated, lonely
Warrior: aware of being interconnected and interdependent with everyone and everything else

:) I am glad that people didn't accuse me of victim blaming yet haha. Honestly, people have tried to victimize me so many times and I realized that I don't have to let them do it. I have been assaulted and abused and manipulated but I am standing stronger than ever and saying no to sketchy people. <3

Same!!

I know sometimes I could cope with symptoms better because I have a good list of coping strategies but sometimes there's a part of me that wants to feel like a victim and be comforted. Sometimes I don't want to accept that I feel like shit because I was eating garbage or doing something counter-productive.

I admire how honest you are with yourself on your journey! That will probably serve you well. :)

Thanks. Honesty is king. But lies are for strictly survival.

It’s an ongoing battle between victim and survivor for me. Some days I’m more victim, some days more survivor.

Yeah, I still have moments when I feel victimized but I mostly try to focus on what I can do differently (better) when I have those moments. Sometimes it is super hard to get out of that mentality or even notice we are doing it!

Speak truth to power. That is something I picked up the other day. It resonates.

I think we are stuck in victim mode whether we blame others for how we feel.
