hello all,

didnt know what to call this so untitled it will be,i come seeking advice im 29 and have been labeled with endogenous depression. im not in a great place while writing this so im very sorry if my demeanor seems to change as we get further on.

as i said ive come seeking advice, my depression as of late has become increasingly worse to the point of breaking into tears at even the slightest sign of any emotion change whether it is good or bad, even to the point of shocking turns in tv series can set me off into a flood of tears.

ive tried to ring my local mental health department for help to feel like im being palmed off to the next person. does anyone have any advice on coping when it feels all is lost, today has been bad, the worst in a long time but any advice on coping with this would be greatly apprieciated

so ive reached out to my local crisis team today, as im feeling so low at the moment. ive been told that unless im willing to harm myself then they cant help. i rang them to try and prevent myself from doing anything, but seems that it will be the only way to get help!!!

I'm sorry you got that ridiculous response. It's responsible to seek help before you harm, that's what is usually recommended. Could you face trying to contact them again and hopefully speak to someone different? Or call your GP surgery to see if they can help. Please do go to A&E if you are at risk, services are stretched and maybe trying to gate keep access to them but this doesn't mean you shouldn't seek help, it means services need better funding, not your fault. xx

That doesn't surprise me I'm afraid :(

That is how I feel but like you I don't want to go down that route.

I'm sorry you were told that. Please don't hurt you and do what Stray posted above.

Also, :welcome: to the forum.

I'm glad you feel better after talking to someone at the Samaritans. Keep talking to us here, too. Keep reaching out and talking to any supportive, caring people you can find. Don't give up looking for help.

Hi Drak

so sorry you are experiencing this

have your Vit D levels been tested? it's called Vitamin Depression and most folk are low

Meds wont work if your D is low. In fact, nothing works. You even feel fatigued constantly In my opinion.

I harp on about it a bit but its sooo overlooked

Best
