Hi. I’m 18. My pronouns are she/her. I joined this forum because I really want to keep myself on track in recovery from my eating disorder. I also suffer from severe anxiety and moderate depression.
I was anorexic for about a year and then bulimic for 3 years. Every time I’ve tried to recover, I end up relapsing but so far, I haven’t purged in 6 days!
I really want to keep this up but as much as I try, I’m having a hard time facing it alone. Only 2 other people know about my disorder.
Im here looking for people who have been in similar situations to talk with.
We can support each other.
All the love💙💙

Hi :)
So glad you're reaching out to others here. I hope that you can find some therapy or maybe a group situation where you can meet and go through this with others. Acknowledging and then trying to solve your own problems is HUGE and so many people in this world, past and present, would rather ignore and deflect. So you are amazing in my opinion and I hope you find all the love and support you need and deserve.
Be well <3

Are you also working with a treatment team--dietitian, therapist, etc? I've found that to be most helpful in staying accountable in recovery. My dietitian is very firm and she doesn't take any crap from the Eating Disorder, and she has consequences set up for when I don't follow guidelines

I was seeing a psychologist but she wasn’t the right fit for me. I would like to find someone new but I live in a smaller town where these specialists are hard to find. I never thought of seeing a dietitian though! I know of one maybe I could talk to! That is helpful because therapy has been unsuccessful so far. I’ll look into the dietitian if that had been helpful for following guidelines. Thank you!
All the love❤
