My name is Zara, and I am a twenty-year-old female suffering from HOCD. I’ve been pretty OK this week, so I wrote this to clarify my current struggles. Anyways, onto the thread...
Throughout puberty, I had to discover and learn most things myself (my parents aren’t really the best at explaining). I used to watch a show called “Big Mouth” when it came out, back in 2017, when I was sixteen-years-old. The main character, Andrew, questioned his sexuality for some time, to the point of considering himself gay. I remember not thinking he was gay then,and, now, looking at it, I think he had HOCD. I know this isn’t important, but the point is that I went through all he’s going through at some point. I mean, like him, I only fantasized about the opposite sex, yet had that one groinal response. The episode’s called “Am I Gay?” and it’s in season one. Please, watch it and tell me what you think. I’m a bit anxious because I believe that he ends up coming out, although I’m not sure.
