I've had depression for about two years now. I'm on medication and have done multiple treatments but it's persistent. I used to be suicidal and I'm not anymore, although I'm afraid of slipping back into that place like I've done a few times before. I've seen six therapists/psychiatrists and they all talk about building my "toolbox" for when I get down, but they've never actually given me any tools and I haven't been able to find anything on my own. I'm tired of friends and family telling me to talk to people or go for a walk. Anyone have something that helps them when they're in the depths of it? Short term or long term.
