Too Scared To See My Doctor

I have been having difficulty walking and swallowing this year. Also my neck has been feeling really weak like my head is too heavy for it. I have been getting neck and head aches and feeling nauseous too. I have been seeing floaters in my eyes more than ever too this year. I am terrified to see my doctor about it. I'm afraid they will either think I'm a hypochodriac and not take me seriously, or they may take me seriously and I have a neurological disorder!

Also I'm afraid I might have a cut inside my ear that has gotten infected. I will ask my sister to check it and maybe go to acute care some time next week if it is.

I am just so terrified to see my doctor!!! :panic:

Do you have someone that you can bring with you at the doctor's studio?

My sister maybe if she'll come. I'm gonna ask her to please take a look in my ear to see if I accidentally cut it when I scratched it. :scared:

Yeah doctors are scary. But it's always good to make sure you're fine. If you get checked, they'll have a chance to help you out.

fubarlady, your doctor will have to examine your ear anyway when you go there, and you'll have to tell them about the other symptoms as well, so it's useless to let your sister see it in my opinion: it'll only worsen your fear. If you don’t receive a peachy diagnosis, that doesn’t change the facts. It simply means you have a name for what ails you, and you can begin treating and reducing pain and discomfort. You can be anxious, it's normal, but there's no reason to fear doctors. They're there to make you feel better.
In the meantime just distract yourself until you get your appointment.

I got dizzy and felt like I was gonna fall over just by walking to my mailbox today. A pill got stuck in my throat. My neck is weak feeling and my neck and head hurt. I know I need to see the doctor but I am terrified! :panic::cry2:

Have you asked your sister if she will come with you?
Do you have anyone else you could ask if she is unable to go with you?

Whatever happens, I really think you need to see your doctor because of
all your symptoms.

Hi,
Please go see your dr, it could be any number of things.
It's best to get checked out, I know it's scary I don't like going either.
Your dr won't think your a hypochondriac.
Are you more tired than usual?
Here for you.
Hope your sister will go.
Don't put it off schedule an appointment ASAP.
Take care

Why are you waiting to do it the Friday after this Friday?

I’m worried you may get an infection in your ear which would
be awful for you.
How did you hurt your ear?

Would your doctor make a home visit do you think or would that
worry you even more?
.
I am at the doctors tomorrow and am really scared.
I also have been putting it off but things are getting worse and
can’t be avoided any longer. I have symptoms of starting seizures.

So please, please make that appointment.

I’m hear to hold your hand and give you a hug. Pollypop xxx

You're right I shouldn't wait. But I have a woman's health appointment next Wednesday. I don't want to seem like a hypochondriac. My ear is better though. I'm glad I didn't go to acute care for it. My doctor can't or won't come to my house I don't think. Good luck with your doctor appointment. Please lemme know how it goes? Thanks for your support.
