After a couple of weeks of being actively suicidal, it is now gradually subsiding. I still have the urges, but the emotions aren't so intense. They eventually burn themselves out. I wouldn't have believed it could pass a week ago, but like my therapist told me today, there's always a light around the corner, you just can't see it cos it's round the corner.

I know how strong and intense and distressing these thoughts and urges can be, but I just wanted to post this as hopefully a form of encouragement if you are in that place. I know if you are where I was, you might not want to accept the encouragement, or even believe it. But I wanted to share it, nonetheless. xxxx

Ambivalent re: suicide now, which is better than being actively suicidal. I guess it's a gradual progress. Thanks :)

depends on what time I post.
Well done you!! I'm so pleased that ambivalent is here, hopefully soon it will be a memory and you will be able to focus on the better aspects of life.

You are remarkably strong and should be rightly proud of yourself. XXX

So pleased to hear this angelflower, thanks for sharing it. It's enormously encouraging to read that you wouldn't have believed these feelings could pass, and now they are starting to. Well done for hanging in there! I hope the improvement continues. I like your therapist's idea of the light being round the corner :peace:

I don't feel very strong right now. I'm in the process of moving from sharing housing to a supported flat. It is scaring the life out of me. I was crying before. I don't know if it's the process of moving or what.....
