I'm really not feeling well. Haven't received any counselling of any form since I've been with services, even though I've been in hospital 4 times over the past 8 years. Nobody can help me. Only medication's given.

Hey Anouska, i'm sorry things are rough at the moment. :hug1:

Is it that you haven't asked for counselling or therapy, or is it that they've seemed to ignore your request?

Do you have a care coordinator to talk to? I would say that you're unhappy with just being given medication and that you're ready to talk.
If that doesn't work, I wonder if an advocate could help you get your point across and maybe get the mental health team to buck up?

It's not right for them to just keep giving you medication.

Thanks so much for replying SomersetScorpio x

Psychotherapy was spoken about back in February now, but I think they're waiting for me to be stable for sometime. I really don't know. I've an appointment with my SW next week, so I can ask then.
Sometimes the voices are of the past. It's horrible.
But I guess at this very moment in time, i'm not ready for it, not just yet. I can bearly function.

I'm unsure all of what I write makes sense. So if not, please tell me. I won't be offended x

You certainly do make sense Anouska.

I know what you mean about needing to feel ready for therapy. I think it's sensible that you are taking care of yourself enough to identify that now might not be the right time.

Your voices, especially the ones from your past, do sound upsetting.
I hope that you are finding some moments of peace in your life. x

Thanks Somerset x.

Today has been the first day i've been free of voices since they started back on Christmas Day, I have a quiet mind right now. I currently feel so free, but still have a very long way to go to feel perfectly settled and that's where I need some therapy for the future.
I'll ask my SW about that this week.

I really do appreciate your support Somerset, thank you for being there for me xxx

Hi Anouska,

Just sending love and hugs to you whilst you're feeling unwell.

SS talks sense .... and so do you!....I guess stability is the factor that's preventing you from getting therapy as you identify. It's not easy waiting for this to happen is it?

Thinking of you.....and those damn voices!
x
