The big disconnection.

http://

This is another thing wrong with the world.
Our disconnection with nature. Its probably why,
Without realising it,
We are sick.

We live within a world that is artificial,
Man made,
Glass, concrete and stone.

Living under artificial light,
Working in environments that probably ate doing us
More harm then good.

Street and city light blocking out at least 90% of the night sky.

I didn't realise until I found the first image on this thread,
And I feel a bit stupid,
It's always something I didn't understand,
Why would you need cd's of whale song and rivers?
Doh!
This is why!
Creating that link to who we are,
and who we should be.

It's this modern living that's bad for us,
Physically,
And spirituality.

I agree modern living is not really good for us brianhorlicks. But at least YouTube contains a host of nature sounds and videos which can make you feel a bit better even in the concrete jungle. I was listening to thunderstorm audio last night and it was lovely.

I know it's not really an excuse,
But,
It's getting the time,
As an adult,
I don't get much time to myself,
Apart from too and from work,
Showering,
Or on the toilet.

I think modernism is a load of rubbish.

I have wonderfull nature walks just near me and walk the dogs in that nature everyday.

Nature is being slowly taken away from us by incredulous developers with nothing but brass on their mind.

But it can't go on, something will snap and mankind will be brought back to the very basic way of living.

This is why every ancient civilization has in one way or another failed,
Because they've all somehow moved away from who they are,
And only believed in material objects,
And greed turned them against themselves.

Only when the last tree has been felled,
Only when the last fish has been caught,
Only when the last river has been poisoned,
Only then you will realize that money can't be eaten.
