Here in the Netherlands the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is recognised as a real religion. And in New Zealand too, where ministers may actually marry people.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) is the deity of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or Pastafarianism. Pastafarianism (a portmanteau of pasta and Rastafarian) is a social movement that promotes a light-hearted view of religion and opposes the teaching of intelligent design and creationism in public schools. According to adherents, Pastafarianism is a "real, legitimate religion, as much as any other".
And I’d like to add the Pastafarian prayer...

Our pasta, who art in a colander, draining be your noodles. Thy noodle come, Thy sauce be yum, on top some grated Parmesan. Give us this day, our garlic bread, …and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trample on our lawns. And lead us not into vegetarianism, but deliver us some pizza, for thine is the meatball, the noodle, and the sauce, forever and ever. R’amen.
It’s actually quite an interesting religion, meant to demonstrate that the burden of proof of an unfalsifiable claim lies upon the person making the claim, not the person doing the listening. If Christians can claim there is a god, what is to stop a Pastafarian from asserting the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster who as we all know created the universe?

This kind of reminds me of the Church of Scientology with their whole story of souls falling into volcanoes and all. But of course there's a completely different motivation to the creation of the Flying Spaghetti Monster as compared to the science fantasy of Scientology.
