I've had both drugs and they are very similar, caused me to have confusion, memory loss and diarrhoea which is common with these type of meds

Venlafaxine has been great for me! I've been on a few before that and this has really helped. Although, the withdrawl if meds not taken on time is quite awful. Other than that I havent had too many problems with it.

I was on it for about 2 years and found it OK and worked. I was only switched when they wanted to try me on one which aided sleep as well. I found it quite hard to come off it but eventually managed to with some after effects, but compared to the depression itself, I didn't think they were that bad. Best of luck.

Have been on this drug for twenty years Totally brought be back to living life to the full again. Unfortunately I feel nothing is working now since being diagnosed bipolar in the last eleven years. I And that’s me on a dose of 225 mg per day. Good luck with your decision.

Unfortunately I seem to be allergic to all SSRIs. I had to go down the route of trying different supplements which have cost me a small fortune over time and still nothing has helped! I am waiting for an appointment with a mental health specialist who can issue different drugs. Why on earth after years of suffering they have only just mentioned I could see someone who actually deals with anxiety meds is beyond my comprehension!
