im in the habit of having a treat twice a week
today it went a bit far
and the sugar has made me feel ill
both mentally and physically

anxiety and physical pain
inflammation
kind of drunk on the sugar
( not alcohol which I cant have )

I suppose its like hyperactivity in children
when you get alot of sugar and caffeine in your system

The best policy? Is to completely ill avoid sugar. Aside that sugar is in my med which I have to take, i;d been having far too much sugary foods, causing me not only weight gain, also infections of boils and things.

I have cut right back and down on chcolate packs, of choclate pieces, and only add a small amount of sweetner in my fruit tea, if needed, and green tea hot drink, if required.

I hope you recover and feel well soon.

thankyou, I dont find I have to give it up altoghere
my arthritis was settling down nicely
when I was being careful
then I had this enormous treat
and things have flared up
which yes could be an infection
and it also made me feel drained
I think it takes out your nutrients
like alchohol can sometimes do
when people feel hung over

These days, I get tired easily after having something sugary. My throat has been getting dry a lot too. I drink iced coffee. It is probably causing dehydration. Or it's anxiety related. I don't know. :(

mystery in the alone
I find that refined sugars (which are in nearly all foods) have an overall negative impact on my physical health (probably mental health too)

I'm thinking this could be related have a certain syndrome or condition that is incredibly difficult to have diagnosed properly without access to private funding.

Currently I just try to limit how much I consume where I can (no sweets, chocolate, soft drinks etc.) but really I should start eating vegetables and stuff regularly havent managed that as yet though. :sorry:

I cant give it up altogether
because that doesnt work with my brain chemistry

just need to recognise when I'm about to overdo it

I find in the morning for me if I have anything sugary I do feel sick, pretty Ill and that may last all day
I can eat any sugary foods after a decent meal with protein and veges.
I think my blood sugar levels must go too high if I don't have something to eat that stabilises my blood glucose levels.
I now if if I go out or the first meal of the day I eat something savoury or not high in sugar.
If I choose to eat something sweet I eat it later in the day and only if I have eaten earlier
