I think it is important to outline what you are feeling, how it impacts you day-to-day, and what you need. I would recommend writing a list so you don't forget what you feel is important to mention. A lot of people struggle to help those struggling with mental health because they don't know how to respond. I think if you tell them how they can help you will have a smoother outcome.
I’ve found it’s best to make sure those closest to you know what your going through. I know it’s not that easy. Especially when those people don’t really understand mental health problems and your scared what they may think or how it will change things between you both. However I’m sure they will support you.
I would perhaps also suggest talking with your GP about how your feeling? They may refer you to counselling which helps get it out in the open. Like most things, the hardest step is laying it out on the table, but when you do, it’s like a weight off your shoulders.
