Hi Guys,

Anyone here from Louisiana, USA?

This site's main page has an article in left menu which is recommending the writings of Immanuel Swedenborg; religious; as far as possibly changing our relationship with the voices. That it might help some hearers to evolve/develop/open a line of productive communication, attract good/white or useful dialog, therefore change the attitude/relationship with the voices.

The voices hinder/impair/distract us from our spiritual development, but
it's strange, peculiar, like maybe there seems to be a purpose in all of this.
Are we fishers of men (lost or fallen souls or astrals)? Humanity is the arc
of the covenant, the conscience of G*d.

Just a thought on Swedenborg, seeing as we're discussing him here.

I think it's possible his voices and visions could be what John Watkins has termed hallucinations stemming from a psychospiritual crisis.

Swedenborg really struggled to reconcile his religious background with his scientific self, and struggled to to believe in God without his doubting voice of reason getting in the way.

His hallucinations could be seen as arising from, and dealing with, this crisis. Perhaps!

Viewing his experiences in this way also helps to show how voices and visions don't necessarily need to be seen as a purely 'random biological malfunction', as some scientists would argue, and can instead be put into the context of a person's struggle through life.

What are your thoughts on this Cal?

Sue,

Sorry for the delay: I had forgotten to subscribe
to this thread, and so I just found your inquiry.

There are around ten different voice hearing types,
and I believe them to be spirits/souls of the dead,
the living (astral, bi-locating); and of the eternal.

Warm Regards,
Cal

For the record, there is a book from the 1600s named "Compte de Gabalis" which contains an exorcism parable which may interest some. Some people claim that this book is Masonic, Pagan, or worst, and so you may want to do some research before hand. Here is wikipedia's article on the book.

QUOTE:

"Quite so, my Son," the Comte went on, "the Sage lends assistance to these poor people who, were it not for him, would be too wretched and too weak to resist the Devil. But when a Sylph (invisible beings of the air) has learned from us to pronounce Cabalistically the potent Name NEHMAHMIHAH, and to combine it in mantric form with the delicious name Eliael, all powers of darkness take flight and the Sylph peacefully enjoys the society of his loved one." Terri,
I understand much of what you write, but please
always try to clarify the British/English slang terms?
I understand your comments about faith and G*d,
but please explain your comment that we need to
use "dobla dan"?
Quality of life is everything, and so "familiar spirits"
(paganism, spirit guides) will only protect you to a
certain point. I also realize that women need a certain
comfort zone (CZ), which may explain some of their
coping strategy/techniques. Many folks shy away
from faith, religion, or even spirituality, to maintain a
level of "comfort zone".
As always, thank you very much for your feedback
and support.

Apache,

I'm glad you wrote. Thanks for your feedback. I was just
chatting with Fergie this morning about this stuff, and so
maybe we're on to something here.

I think that this book refers to paganism or masonic
rights, where pagan (ungodly) people can sometimes get rid
of the bad voices with the help of their spirit guide or guardian
via the use of the "magic words". Again, pagans can sometimes
escape the wrath of satan by aligning themselves with certain
spirits of the air.

Jews and xtians have a similar right/ritual, where we can rebuke,
bind, and banish spirits in the name of God (YHWH); and they
are supposed to obey/comply; with the angels putting words
to action. This does seem to work at first, helps some, but not
100%, and it never ends, a freaking merry-go-round, it's like a
cat that's chasing his tail. With religion, you also have to look at
any sin/crime in your life, because the spirits will throw it up in
your face, it's their territorial piss or marker or something. They
think their sin is a stronghold, gives them rights or possession in
your life, but that is not what the bible says. The bible says that
we are not under that law, that sin can have no dominion over us,
but the spirits don't let up about it, and so maybe we need to
bind that too, forbid them to speak or refer to any such territorial
lies/accusations again; dark sentencings, over their territorial piss,
flags/markers/possessions in our lives.

Again, thanks for writing, and dont hesitate to ask for any
other clarifications.
