Hi Evening Folks,

I hope all are well this evening, I'm very much better considering how i hadn't been the late afternoon/earlier evening.

Well, in the post today, and out of the blue, a letter and a benefits application form came in, saying we need to have a look at claim, to ensure that one is getting the right amount of money. And also i might be eligible to claim extra amounts - knows preniums. If I am eligible, then, I will recieve.

What is baffling me is, why sort it out now, in 2018, and that they wish for back date information, about me, and get this; from 2012?!!!.

Why not had sorted this out, to run a check, that I am getting the right amount of money and also, that I might be eligible if i am, for extra amounts - preminums, back in 2012, and all of the sudden, this has only come to light?

Father and I shall follow the application through only regarding 2012, December 2012, I ask, has anybody else, received the same or similar to me, requiring information from way back when, and all of the sudden currently this year?!!!

Father assists me with my financial affairs, however, I am just very baffled that now that they should suddenly decide to, and also, I have a very big concern, in that, that they don't cut any components out, either.

This is only regarding December they wish to know about me, from December 2012. Very puzzling, and very baffling, this.

I should be thankful though, this isn't the universal credit, and also something else, doesn't the left hand not know from the right hand, what the right hand has been doing all these years!

We won't phone them, the time it takes to hold, be transferred, an answer isn't known, no, we;ll just fill out the necessary information stipulated on the application form.

I was seriously wondering whether if any body else has had the same thing happen, or, is it - just me?

My name in reference real name is on the application form, and there is a office reference code, too.

Best regards all,

A very baffling Natalie, can't understand, why suddenly out of the blue!

Is it to do with 'overwhelming psychological distress' when undertaking journeys? There was a change in law about that and some people were given more money because of it.

I do have letters like this sometimes.

Hi Tabby 88,

I must have overlooked this thread when catching up.

I don't know is the honest answer, they the powers that be, haven't actually specified in their letter regarding no reason why, and this is also, where I am baffled. The covering letter itlsef, isn't very clear. Anyway we have sent mine off now, dated to 2012, and I'll happily shall put this one side, and see at the last minute what could happen.

Take care now.

Hi Mayflower7,

I've had my result come through and it has been very much a positiive one, in fact much better. I have had an increase of money, so from February, I will have a much better new rate.

I just wondered, how you are you doing? Have you heard from your benefit application?

Take care.

Have you had any of it backdated. A few years ago my sister had a letter saying she had been underpaid for years and received a cheque for£10,000 . Then they wanted to reduce her benefits because she had too much money in her bank.!!!

Hi Folks,

I was getting my two separate benefits and back pay increases muddled up in this thread! Apologies for that, all.

Anyway, finally, I have heard f rom the department, dealing with my renewal application claim, for dating back to 2012, and, what's more, I can happily report and confirm, I am entitled to 6 years worth of extra money, this is backpay.

So I am feeling very much more happier.

So what with the normal benefit rate of increase, in which I am feeling happier, and also I am feeling h appier, due to 6 years worth of extra back pay monies.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Folks,

My benefits letter regarding the oriignal post in this thread, came very late on, and dated very late into this year too. I have been rewarded backpay of 6 years, worth, now, when checking my mini statment, it wasn't there, we have to be out tomorrow, so we'll get to our bank branch, after my mother's appointment, and we'll collect a new mini statement. If it is not there, then this time round, we'll certainly will get in touch with the department. I have certainly been granted 6 years worth of backpay. I won't disclose the actual amount and also it's a hefty figure! Hefty meaning rather a large amount.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Folks,

I have been paid as of today with the full backpay of 6 years worth.

So in the main, either mother or myself, we haven't got to worry about making a call to the benefits offices, that aspect has been saved.

Best regards all,

Natalie.
