I'm doing good at the moment on my higher doze of Prozac *(40mg) and nearly feel human and able to function again but that doesn't stop me over thinking.. it freaks me out to know that it just them 2 little pills keeping me sane. If I stop them will I fall back into deep depression? Part of me wants and deserves to be miserable. Not to mention this unbearable exhaustion I'm having , even as I wrote this my eyes are rolling with tiredness yet I still can't sleep a full night without waking.... just needed to get this out of my head .xx

Hi there, Nickybow. I'm sorry you are fatigued and not sleeping through the night. I disagree; I don't think you deserve to be miserable. Have you done something horrible like killed someone ?? So you don't deserve to be miserable. If the prozac is helping you, be grateful for those two little pills. Prozac did not work out for me. But I've heard it helps lots of people. But if the prozac is causing you sleep issues or the fatigue, you may have to consider finding the source of your depression.

There can be physical reasons for the depression or it can be psychological (childhood core beliefs). Depression can be caused by something simple like eating wheat, white potatoes, white rice, sugar. I knew a woman from Italy who would not stop eating pasta to find out if that was the cause of her depression. I was depressed from the invalidation, lack of affection from childhood but when I got deep into yoga the depression was over. There was still core beliefs like I should be punished, I don't deserve to BE. I was always desperate to be understood because I didn't get any understanding or empathy from my parents.

A good therapist could help you replace bad thoughts with good thoughts.
