Confide has held Service Accreditation with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) since 2003. The BACP is the largest professional body representing counselling & psychotherapy in the UK. We are the only counselling organisation in Shropshire to have this quality mark which, as well as providing robust evidence of service performance, safety and professionalism, also demonstrates that we are committed to competence and continual improvement.

We are committed to ensuring that no-one is discriminated against on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage & civil partnership, pregnancy & maternity, race, religion and belief, gender or sexual orientation.

Low Fee Service
Our charitable ethos means that we are able to offer some low fee counselling sessions. The service operates on a scale of fees depending on your income and personal circumstances.

There is normally a waiting list for this service, the length of time varies. If you can be flexible about where and when you attend for counselling the wait will be shorter.

The Project Group (Oswestry) CIC is an arts based social enterprise, a community interest company (CIC), working largely on art commissions for the public and private sectors. We have expanded our activities to include community and public workshops, a retail range, an e-commerce site, and the development of workshops and commissions for corporate clients.

We provide a creative environment for individuals, in touch with mental health services, to achieve at their own pace. We aim to provide an environment in which individuals can flourish, make decisions and take up opportunities to gain the self-belief to move forward. By developing the consultancy and workshop programmes, members (who as service users are often cast as passive receivers) can become advisers, facilitators and highly skilled specialists and trainers. All members are or have been in touch with adult mental health services. The group is supported by a small staff team and a group of volunteers.

Referrals from GP, Community Mental Health Team, Enable, Assertive Outreach Team, Early Intervention in Psychosis Team, Prison In-Reach, Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team, Hospital nursing and Occupational Therapy staff, Community substance misuse team.

Forward Mission is our peer mentoring service that supports individuals from Telford and Wrekin that are socially isolated due to their mental health.

You will be assigned a mentor who will assist you in making a plan to reach achievable goals.

All of the mentors are DBS checked, carefully recruited and trained. Some of our volunteers have lived through difficult times themselves and having come through their own recovery process are very happy to be there to enable others.
