Has anyone else experienced these side effects? Did I cause permanent brain damage by pushing through these effects for almost a year? I literally cannot function, and it's been 5 1/2 days since my last dose. I've read that caffeine slows the metabolism of olanzapine down significantly, and I was drinking a decent amount until a couple days ago. But shouldn't I be feeling better by now? I can read a short sentence, look away immediately, and not remember more than one or two words. I used to be able to come up with witty jokes on a whim... now I draw blanks every time I try.

I've tried risperidone and Abilify, and they both have the same dumbing-down effect on me almost immediately after taking.

Have you tried some form of exercise... I find it helps... with just about everything. It is however limited, only a couple of hours per a short session.

I also found that abilify had these dumbing down effects and for several months I was unable to read properly and was unable to remember what I had read exactly, this has changed since I started reducing my dose however
