Screaming in my head

I’m not sure what this is, but occasionally (usually when I’m tired, anxious, or nervous) I’ll hear a screaming noise in my head. It’s not a random voice, but rather everything that I’m thinking in my head is instead amplified into a screaming noise.

At the same time, I sort of dissociate and my body feels cool or numb.

I just want to know what this is: whether it’s a sign of a mental illness or perhaps if there’s a scientific name for this occurrence.

I’m writing this just after one of these “episodes” and I’m feeling a bit odd.
