I've been stable for about 3 months but the last few days i've felt the depression coming back. I'm so nervous about telling friends and family cuase they are so pleased i was doing so well.

I dont know how to approach the subject. I feel like i'm letting everyone down

Hi Angel10,

don't worry about telling people how you are feeling, just go straight ahead and do it. Your family and friends sound as though they are supportive of you, so they will surely understand and not judge. You are not letting anyone down at all - depression is an illness, not something you do on purpose to annoy people.

Be strong - tell them how you feel - and take care of yourself.

Hey you're not a failure, you're just poorly. And you know, I am right where you are right now.....I am sinking like a stone and feel lonely and scared, worried and guilty. i agree with the others that the best thing is to just come out and tell people. On my last depression I tried to keep it under wraps from everyone and it certainly made my life much more difficult. This time Im telling people and it seems to be working out better.Hope things work out for you. x

I hope everything goes well talking to you family and that you feel better soon. If your family understand Bipolar they should understand that going down is part of the illness xxx
