Anyone else at rock bottom right now? Or if you have been how did you get out of it?

I'm feeling quite like that yes.

This year has been very tough for me. I have mental health problems anyway, but I also have been cheating on my husband and lost my mum this year, so my life feels like such a mess, a mess I've contributed to and a mess that's just happened. Not sure how to make things right again, but feel I've lost my way and feel so scared. You aren't alone. Rock bottom is a foundation on which to build back up 🌹

Sometimes I think of people who have hit rock bottom, like J K Rowling before she wrote her books. She was a divorced poverty stricken single mother. It can help to remember rock bottom is not a place we have to stay forever, even if it is where we feel we are in this moment. If I really think about it, I'm not truly at rock bottom, I just feel there emotionally. I hope things start to feel better for you and you can start to build up again.

The good news is, once you've felt that craggy bottom, and can't go any lower, the only way is up, eventually. It takes time and sometimes it's good to just go under the duvet until you're ready to re-surface. I promise you that day will come. Hitting rock bottom is the beginning of questioning everything that you’ve ever thought to be true but you gain a sense of humility from it. Be kind to yourself and know that it won't last for ever. Lots of love xx
