from psychiatric drugs.

I am a using psychiatric medication for 19 years and want to stop.
the brain damage may have already been done leaving me no choice but to be dependant on them to function.
The social support is not there and worried about my future.

I want to do the same, and despite voluntarily taking them i still feel as if I have no choice.

I have only been on them 3 years and hate them, i wish you the best of luck and hope you do fine without them.

i feel exactly the same way. Same for me - the appropriate support isn't there, & i'm concerned also for my own future.

Baring a major miracle - after 16 years on the current anti-psychotic medication & 25 years of medical treatments/drugs - i think my brain is damaged from it all & dependent on this drug to function. There is certainly No support or understanding from the mental health/medical system for anything, & very little understanding from people in general.
