Hi passed few weeks I’ve been really struggling with anxiety and depression the passed few week my anxiety has got out of control (I’ve always suffered with MH) I don’t feel I can trust anyone anymore, I feel like my friends have left me. I had to quit my job because of my MH and only 1 of my work friends have bothered to message me despite me having a good friendship with them all and texting each other etc. I don’t know what to do anymore I’m struggling so much to keep a straight head and keep on top of things

Hi Mykalgreen95, feels like you are having a tough time, so I am reaching out to you with I hope some words of comfort. These are difficult times for everyone but it is sad that your work colleagues have not msg you to ask how you are. Sometimes with depression and anxiety I think it seems hard for 'some' people to know what to say or do. That does not excuse them but perhaps explains some of it. Trust is also a difficult concept in these times as to trust friends or work colleagues can sometimes be the wrong thing to do. I would try to steer you in the direction of a professional counsellor or therapist working for one of the many voluntary organisations if you can find one. These individuals are bound by an oath of confidentiality and should be 100% trustworthy. Also of course your GP is their to help he or she can refer you to a mental health specialist and medications are sometimes helpful as well. I have suffered with both crippling anxiety and lifelong depression but can honestly say I am in a good place at the moment so there is always hope my friend.
Wishing you love and peace P

I agree. Find a capable therapist who understands what you are going through, can offer support, and hopefully can lead you in the right direction. Talk therapy (CBT) can do wonders.

Thank you I’m currently waiting to be seen by a company called PSICON, I was under a mental health team from August 2019 to July 2020 I returned back to work in November after coming off furlough and my mental health went backwards. In February 2020 I was taken by ambulance after suffering from a severe breakdown at work after that I was signed off sick, when my sick note expired I was put on furlough along with other staff. It’s a ongoing fight and I’m exhausted

Maybe you went back to work to soon or maybe your work is causing you stress and anxiety I know this has always been a problem with me. It can be hard to cope with mental health but finding employment that 'works' for you is even more difficult. Problem is the media are all making the right noises about 'mental health' but in reality earning a living while coping with mental health challenges is a really difficult balancing act. Getting access to the funds you are entitled to is often more stressful and inhumane than continuing in employment, that is just making things worse. I do not know your financial situation but I hope you can manage to get help with that if needed.

Hello everyone I managed to speak to my doctor and he has given me something for my anxiety until I can be seen by a professional. So fingers crossed this will help in the meantime. The fight continues

Sorry your having problems with your mental health.
Have you tried to find support online or in person?
Maybe try that.
Hope this helps.
