Hey. I'm in the uk and am going to talk to my gp about being diagnosed as bipolar. Does anyone know the procedure that follows?

There are two ways. One is that you have a major high/low so go to hospital and hence given treatment and given the diagnoses. The other one I do not know how unless you have strong enough evidence.

Well I have the symptoms (experience extreme highs and lows, grandiose thinking etc) so am planning on telling my doctor on Wednesday. Any advice?

You proabably need a diary noting all that has happened over the years, and if you have previously had things like counselling etc

Hi suzy. My gp has referred me to a psychiatrist for a psych eval which I shall hopefully hear about in a couple of weeks.
