Please help

Lately everything I read in labels has hydrogenated oil in it even body wash, soap, even cologne..tanning lotion almost everything I read lately has it in him and even expensive name stuff things that are high quality brands have this ingredient in it and I know it's dangerous and I'm definitely a scared and afraid of it... I don't know what to do even deodorant has it is it really this bad I mean it has to be bad for your skin right? Im afraid to touch anything with hydrogenated oils..

because everything I read about hydrogenated oil everyone said it's poisonous and if you touch it and go to the pores of your skin and cause cancer and it's frightening me very much I know ingesting it is bad but there's so many products made with this stuff that's for your hands and for your body and I don't know why they use hydrogenated oil and something like that when that stuff is so toxic and dangerous as they say it is

Well, any oil that is solid has been hydrogenated. Any oil that is liquid at room temperature has not been hydrogenated. You could use any oil you would willingly put in your body on your body as a skin softener. Just use very small amounts as it goes very far in liquid form. Also it is more apt to stain your clothes if you get it on the fabric. Be mindful using it.

Essential oils can even be added to the oil if you are only going to use it on your skin to make it smell nice, otherwise you might smell like a dressed salad. It actually isn't a bad smell. I use olive oil I keep in the fridge so it gets cool and solid making it easier to apply, but again a tiny bit goes a long way. Use sparingly.

That is a personal decision. Only you know what is right for your body.

Basically hydrogenated means air has been whipped into the oil. They do this for two reasons: it makes the product more stable on the shelf and air is free which means they make more profit off less oil. Unfortunately it also makes the oil less absorbable by the human body. As to whether or not it causes cancer, as you mentioned, I cannot say. Ingesting hydrogenated oils can increase LDL cholesterol and the hydrogenation process does risk creation of trans fats if it is incomplete.

Whether you want to use these products is up to you. Finding products without hydrogenated oils is next to impossible as hydrogenating the oil is what makes it lotion and not oil.

I feel better..thank you. Everybody tells me to stop reading labels and to stop looking her and can hydrogenated in it because so many products now have it no matter what it is it's in there and I'm always thinking that hydrogenated is something that seriously bad but I didn't know it's such a simple thing like that so if anything hydrogenated gets on my hands I guess I'll be okay
