Sorry to hear that, James. We're all nuts around here ;), I would suggest you seek professional advice as it looks like your mother does need help.

Try not to worry too much, at least right now she is being taken care of. People go in and out of the hospital all the time, and then go on to recovery. I've personally been hospitalized twice and have been stable for over a year now.

Hang in there

Hi there James,

I was so sorry to read about your mum and can quite understand why you feel so anxious. When someone close to us suddenly behaves so differently it can be really scarey, especially if you haven't come across anything like this before. I realy feel for you.

I don't think anyone here will be able to answer your questions about your mum specifically but it might help to know what her diagnosis was/is. I always feel better when I know what I'm dealing with. Has anyone at the hospital told you anything about your mum yet? I haven't been into hospital myself, so don't know how these things work, but others here have, and do, and you may find someone who has been through it and come out the other side.

Also, it can really help to write about your feelings and what's going on for you, either here or privately if you prefer. I find it can help to clarify things for me and organise my mind when it's racing. You sound worried and frightened. Is there anyone who could help you with all this? A friend or relative?

I'm thinking of you, wishing you all the best and sending a large one of these..

Hang in there,

Inny

Inny, kathrina and guggy, i really appreciat your replys i didnt know were else to go, the last 2 weeks has been pretty messed up, i need to deal with all the bills etc now but my mum is sounding better, ive been up to visit her and shes looking like her old self again, still isnt 100% but is a step in the right direction. I spoke to the doctors and they said they done all sorts of tests to see if it was a minor stroke etc, everything is ok with her. So they either think it is mentally or maybe her medication, because she is on alot of medication and they say it may be something to do with that. She still has anxiety attacks though, i think they are anyways the way she describes them, she first feels a tingling sensation in her fingers then it gradually goes to her legs and arms and she feels like she cant breathe, but she gets like that when shes stressed, pressured or angry. Dont know if thats anything to do with it, but after her first attack which was mistaken as a stroke, everything went downhill from there.

Really guys i do appreciat all your help and im glad i can share my thoughts here.
