Hey, forum.
I suddenly need to reach out. Its hard to ask but - Please help.
Today I am home, isolating, as are many.
I am feeling so frustrated and bothered by my procrastination and absolute lack of momentum.
I have work to do but I just can't get myself to get on with it. 😒
Even writing this makes me recognise how sad I am feeling about this.

I feel I have hundreds of tasks, I struggling to organise myself in a consistent and reliable way. And it all just feels a bit overwhelming 😟

I've done so much cbt and stuff over the years. But right now, it's hard, and it's getting the better of me.

Username is because I feel like a sloth (lovely as they are) but need an electric shock to get me moving!

Nice to meet you. Hope you stay around the forum and learn something from this great forum. I know I just woke up and it around 7 am in the morning. I will be making tea and going to take my meds. Hope you stay well for the rest of the day bud.

Great you've joined us,
You are around people who do get it, and experience mental health issues.
Like myself I kind of was over the CBT stuff and got it did it, but at the end of the day my issues needed a different approach.
You will find I am sure the forum a supportive place to be

I am a newbie myself, mildly depressed for the time being. Sometimes it is good to just let all trying off and just let things be as they are for a couple of days before one starts on the "get better climbing " again. To me it helps to sit down after such a period "off" and write down a few things I need to do the next day (that I know usually helps me). Examples: Force myself to jump out of bed in the morning, do physical exercises ...

To start small usually helps. To have a list of what to do that you can manage helps as well + another list about things to do when you have more energy. Then you can move on topic after another on your to do list ...

For procrastination: Have you tried breaking it into smaller tasks? For me it helps with some minutes music and, some minutes doings and then music again ...

Hey Blooming. Thanks for your advice.
All of it sounds great, the thing I will definitely try is the minutes thing - I see a task as a whole and struggle to see it as smaller.

I will try to do just 3 minutes of a task and see how it goes, hopefully that will give me enough inclination to get on with it, and then maybe the push to continue!!

Pick one small thing, and do it. And then another. Pick things that make a clear difference, no matter how small.

Like, make your bed. Clear the counters and do the dishes. It will make you feel better, and help motivate you. It's about momentum, teh more you do, the easier doing more gets.
