Is being physically exhausted part of BPD? I don’t mean the tired after a busy day type, I mean the can’t be bothered to close a window even though I’m cold or putting off going for a wee because walking the 4m to the toilet is just way to far type of exhausted. I’m not sleepy, staying in bed isn’t going to help me apart from the fact I wouldn’t have to move and I’m not dozing off in front of the telly, I’m just knackered.

I get periods of it from time to time but never for this long or this bad. Most of my bloods are fine, I’m just waiting for the thyroid one to come back.

I’m no expert but it sounds more like depression.

Definitely worth finding out if is thyroid related, I felt this before hypothyroidism diagnosed, treated, the exhaustion was dreadful. But yes depression too x

It's not necessarily a BPD symptom, but as mentioned could be a physical issue and/or be because your BPD is co-morbid with depression/similar.

I'd definitely recommend what Write said - to talk to doctor about this issue and question whether it could be a thyroid issue. If not, you could try a dietitian (or just research on the internet how to improve your diet) and if that still doesn't help much, then it's probably a co-morbid mental illness.

All that aside, I can relate. In my case it's probably a physical issue mixed with depression but it still really makes life hard.

After a nice weekend off I’m feeling a lot fresher, still quite tired but not soul sucked out of me exhausted. I’m on annual leave for a week so will get chance to rest.

A thought occurred to me, the exhaustion ties in with a new on call rota at work. On top of my normal working week I can be called in to work at weekends if the situation is bad enough but I seem to be covering way more than my fair share.
