This is a bit morbid. It's a memorial site of the people who have died due to benefits cuts (or seemingly, in case lawyers are grimacing at their screens)

Calum's List | Welfare Reform Deaths – Memorial Page – Please Stop Killing Us

I've looked at a few and it seems a lot of people are giving in at the point of housing benefits and benefits being stopped.

But when they stop your benefits you are entitled to

(1) claim a hardship benefit.i think that is £15 week

(2) made a new claim for housing benefit

a lot of places don't inform people of these rights, so they think that's that

Although £15 week isn't exactly the sun shining out of our governments arse, its should still be enough for many people to cover their bedroom tax

The petition has now reached 3,680 signatures. It has been updated with information known, about the government plans and timetable concerning changes to ESA support group benefits, so far.

Have a look and explore the links to the Government green Paper titled Work and Health Disability,Improving Lives.

Don't be fooled by the Improving Lives part of the title.

There is also a link to the consultation of the green paper where you can express your concerns and voice your opposition to the plans.

There is also a link to information about MIND the mental health charity applying to become work coaches effectively working for the DWP.

Yes it gets worse folks they want charities that represent disabled people from across the spectrum of different illness conditions to police us into work!Shameful and vile!

Are the vile Pickles womans 'reform' part of the green paper?

The government has announced plans to employ a further 500 advisors( to work as work coaches).
This means full roll-out may take a while. Plus, I'm not sure it will need to pass parliment, if they have already started.

Glad to see how this has 'improve my life so far'. Not doing as many sh, but they are more severe.

Even Scotland are involved in this nonsense.

he Scottish government aims to halve the employment gap for disabled people as part of an action plan to boost disability support.
Plan to boost Scots disability support - BBC News

The disabilty gap cannot be 'halved', unless you have workhouses/concentration camps.

Seems they are, only they will be called 'sheltered working'.

Can they half the people on disability? Sure. Just move the goalposts, or, more accurately, the thing they are doing is removing the goalposts altogether.

What they are doing is signposting disabled people. Signposting us in poverty, even more misery than we already have, and in hundreds of thousands of cases, the grave.

Just as bad as the government, is the vapid evil of the general population, who are likely, imo, to let this pass with the same quiet whimper as the Snoopers Charter.

Hopefully we can stop it in it's tracks Stuart, but I am also getting mentally prepared for what may be inevitable, that I will have to attend work coach sessions and manage on £73 a week.I am not going to pretend I am not terrified! The petition has reached almost 4000 signatures that is from 1353 last friday.
So people are against the plans I have just got to find a way of reaching more of them to get them to sign.

Ultimately this is all about Eugenics and survival of the fittest being a central platform of the political status quo since 1981.

Signs are though that the bastards are getting scared.

Even right wing thinktanks are beginning to say that the complete lack of social mobility is a bad thing.

The people that have instituted Darwinian economics upon us are the first to complain when one of their own finds it difficult to access adequate physical or mental healthcare.

Complete hypocrits the lot of 'em.

I'm having to use ever increasingly severe sh to just cope with the possibility. There is no way I can cope while not in the total protection the support group currentley offers. Just trying to make it until it's official.

But I'm pretty much resiegned to my fate anyway.
