I am 35 living with my father and he still tries to control how I eat. I don't think it is his privilege to tell me how to eat.

I think my parents' controlling behavior plays biological and nurturing influence into why I had eating disorders from 15 to 30.

It is frustrating. He tries to impose his ideas of normal on me.

why are you still living with your parents if you don't mind me asking?

maybe your dad thinks because you still live with him then you have to live by his rules even if it is this extreme

I don't have values against living with my parents I guess.

There are some ways in which living with parents makes me feel secure, I am lonely and he doesn't reject me personally, just behaviorally and is controlling and stressful.

I am still angry with him for being so irresponsible towards us when I was younger and being unilateral and immature. I find both of my parents to have been more immature than I would have expected parents to be.

Sometimes I feel more mature than either of my parents.
