Off topic - i-pod question

Not sure where this should go - so I have put a wee off topic on it - hope that's ok. I bought a new cd today and downloaded it into my itunes and then i-pod but it has the cd in the wrong genre of rock. Does anyone know how I can correct the genre ? Many thanks,

well quick question, do you have a mac or a windows pc?
On the mac, if you go into iTunes, select the track/tracks that you want to change, Ctrl and click (probably right click for windows computers) then select get info. In there you should find something that says genre, then you just click on it and select the one you want.
(might be slightly different but that the gist of it)
