OCD and Tics?

up in the clouds
i recently got into watching youtubers and documentaries of people who suffer conditions i have so i don't feel so alone, and a lot of people described having tics in almost exact ways i have had them before (ex: jerking up/back of the neck, smacking my chest, clapping the hands)

and while i feel relieved that im not alone in suffering w/this, as they do get more severe when i feel any anxieties related to what triggers my ocd come on, but i also worry since while i have spoken and started working with my therapist on lessening my issues with ocd, i have no idea to bring up the tics, as i thought they were just do to my muscular conditions, but after some retrospective thinking I do firmly believe these impulse movements are due to the ocd rather than my physical conditions.

thank you for reading and please respond w/any advice or introspection you have 🥰

I think it would be worth bringing up with your psychologist. You've got nothing to lose really. Either they can help or they can't but the only way you will know is if you ask. Wishing you well xx
