So I'm not sure if this would be considered OCD or not but ever since I can remember I have had a strong aversion to eating or drinking food when I am in a medical setting or watching something on TV that is showing a hospital or medical scene. Luckily I have never had to go to the hospital for more than a day but I always fear that if I have to, I'm not sure if I could eat or drink anything without gagging or throwing up which wouldn't be good. Also, I don't drink much water no matter where I am as even just thinking about that stuff when I am drinking it will cause me to gag which tends to happen sometimes when I am trying to drink it. It's easier to drink soda as that doesn't bother me as much but I still don't want to drink it if I am in a hospital.

So has anyone heard of something like this or know what it might be called? I don't know what could cause it, but I never liked being in medical places anyway even though I've never had a bad experience I just don't like it for some reason.

No-one can diagnose a person on a forum I'm afraid. I don't know enough about OCD to know if this is or isn't. It certainly sounds distressing and a problem for you. I hope others with more insight come along soon.

A galaxy, far far away..
IMO it's not OCD, but if it's causing you distress, or impacting your life adversely, then I would recommend seeking professional help.
