Mainstay is an independent mental health service users' charity based in York. We actively work towards positive changes within mental health service provision. We enable and empower service users to become involved in the development and improvement of services.

Mainstay Services:

•Step-Up Service engages with mental health service users to help them build their confidence and raise their self-esteem. This is an individual programme of support that supports identified areas of need.

•Steps promotes social inclusion in a supportive environment through drop in sessions held in the community to allow people to share coping skills and support their continued well-being

•Steps Workshops encourage service users to recognise their ability to achieve their potential with the opportunity for self-expression by providing a series of workshops

•Write-Step is Mainstay’s magazine written by service users for service users.
