Our staff team currently numbers 8, including Centre Workers, Mental Health Advocates, Borderline Personality Disorder Worker and Finance and Administrative Workers

Friend's Drop-In services at Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon offer Members a safe place where they can relax in the knowledge that it is a confidential environment where they will not be judged or stigmatised because of their mental health issues.

Friend provides a range of therapeutic activities and group sessions. Please contact us to find out what is available in Clevedon and/or Weston.

Statutory Advocacy
Friend is contracted to provide statutory independent mental health advocacy (funded NHS) and independent mental capacity advocacy (funded North Somerset Council).

People who are new to Friend need to book an appointment with a Worker to discuss what we can offer.

This service is for any adults over the age of 18 experiencing mental illness or mental impairment.

Our Mental Health service provides support, advice and signposting to health and social care professionals.
The Mental Health service undertakes joint assessments with other organisations of patients with highly complex needs.

Referrals from health and social care professionals via our Community Rapid Response and Community Teams.

The team at Second Step is made up of people with a shared desire and determination to deliver recovery and wellbeing opportunities for people with mental health problems to enable them to achieve their hopes and ambitions.

We provide housing and support services to hundreds of people. Our focus is on helping people find strategies to cope with their problems, to gain independence and achieve their ambitions. We work with people at their pace, helping them remain in control of their recovery journey.
