My daughter had one like that, although it wasn't the same necessarily and it was odd. Does your protrude through the skin a bit? Hers did. It worked really well and kept her safe. It didn't seem to affect her periods either. She thought about going back to it after the birth of her second child but hasn't got round to it yet. I don't know much else I'm afraid.

Lol Lu you’re braver than me. I cringe whenever I just see the commercial for that thing.

The pain usually subsides after a day or two.

The side effects were very similar to early pregnancy symptoms for me, each time I had one.
Thankfully it stopped my periods every time as well.
It's possible it also mellows out my BPD symptoms. When I had it removed last time my moods escalated a lot, though I'm unsure if it was circumstances or due to having that removed.

Yeah it really was. Dont be shocked if you see a gigantic bruise as well when you remove the bandage.
The pain should settle down by tomorrow. It may not be painless, but it wont be as bad.

I had pain in my arm from a different med once
I asked them to point it to the derriere the next time !
I suppose that is not possible

try and get warm and cosy with a blanket
and watch something soothing
maybe a camomile tea might helps
