Horrible word! It doesn’t look as though anyone’s posted in a while. I’m new to this forum and I just happened to see this I don’t know what it’s called. Topic, I guess. I’m using Siri, who occasionally miss spells or messes up grammar, like use of apostrophes. I’m curious whether there are other people out there who have lost their partners, as I just did, To Lewy body dementia. What an awful disease, as they all are.

Hiya. I haven't lost anyone to dememtia but I was a dementia specialist for over 10 years on units in Bristol. I am sorry you lost your husband to this, its horrible! The word widow is odd too - I don't think of myself as a widow, (but I am) but rather just me.

How terrible was it for you to lose him like that?

Sorry for your loss. I don't have any particluar answers for you. Dementia is hardest on the family members who have to watch this disease steal the minds of the ones they love. My heart goes out to you and your family. RIP...
